How long have you been kiteboarding? Almost 3 years
What inspired you to start kiteboarding? Lou Wainman, Rush Randle and Elliot Leboe
When you kiteboard, where do you do it, and with who? When I'm at home in Santa Barbara I like to go and ride mostly at C-street in Ventura and sometimes at a secret spot up north. I usually ride with Peter Trow, Jeff Burton, Kirk Peterson, Chris Gutziet, Steve Marsh, Jerry Shalhoob and Jacob.
What new tricks do you have under your sleeve that the media hasn't seen yet? Right now I'm working more one handed out of the harness jumps and I'm always trying to progress in my wave riding.
What do you do with your time when you're not kiteboarding? I like to watch TV, Hang with my friends and surf.
What's the coolest place that the sport of kiteboarding has allowed you to travel to? Last year Liquid Force sent me to Cabo Verde off of the west coast of Africa to compete in their tube riding event and I have to say that it was definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had.
Where are you planning to travel this year? At the moment I'm planning a Spring Break 2002 trip to Texas with Mauricio Abreu, Shannon Best and Elliot Leboe. It should be fun.
What's your perfect day consist of? A perfect day for me consists of hanging out with friends at Led's with a cooler full of their beer.
What does your perfect meal consist of? Sushi at the River City Saloon.
In your opinion, who is the best kiteboarder, and why? That's a good question. I think the best person in kiteboarding is the one who's having the most fun, because that's what really counts. Although Lou Wainman is the best hands down. And you'll never get that result from a contest.
Who is the most creative? Probably Franz Orly, because his style is his own. He's not trying to wakeboard or windsurf on a kite.
Which riders actually get you stoked on the sport? Guys Lou Wainman and Mauricio Abreu for their technical riding. Peter Trow and Chris Gilbert for their wave riding. Elliot Leboe and Felix Pivec for their jumping.
What athletes, non-kiteboarding, have inspired you, and why? Guys like Occy for his come back world title and Kelly Slater and Shaq for their domination of their sports.
What type of music do you listen to? Punk I think.
Who are your favorite bands? NOFX, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Fugazi, The Beastie Boys, Goldfinger, Social Distortion and Suicidal Tendencies.
Last book you read? Black Hawk Down
Last movie you saw? Black Hawk Down (I read the book first, if you believe that)
