I was down In Hatteras for about a month a while back with the Canadian crew of Dan Steiner, Sam Medysky, Dave Drinkwater, David G Tran and myself. We had really good condition pretty much the whole time and got a lot of riding in! We did have a few injuries though...I slammed in shallow water and pulled a bunch of ligaments in my hand which had me off the water for a while. After a week + of watching everybody else kite, we had the chance to session the old JWCF slider, now called the "lil wayne." I couldn't watch the sessions go down out back of the REAL Kiteboarding Complex any longer. With my gimpo hand I rigged up a 8m Havoc and grabbed my Concept Grind and headed out to the slick! The Canadian boys along with the REAL crew shredded the sliders as much as possible when we had the chance with perfect SW winds pumping in for 3 days strait! Photographers Bryan Elkus and David G Tran were around to session with us and also managed to bang out some sick shots. It was good times in Hatteras, as it always is! I love the scene there, everyone is so friendly and always down to ride. I'll be back down their for most of October then it is off to Brazil for the winter!
