While we see a lot more kiting on the water, our European brethren just hosted the largest snow-kite and possibly most well funded kite event world-wide. The Red Bull Ragnarok. This year over 200 kiters from around the globe gathered to compete in this endurance race on the snow covered mountain plateau of Hardangavidda in Norway.
Liquid Force Kites team rider Jan Schiegnitz competed in the race and managed to finish within the top 10! Not a small feat.
Just prior to the Ragnarok, Jan attended the Rems invitational. Hosted by Remi Meum, the 2012 Snowkite champion, the Rems Invitaional challenged three teams of four riders to make the best edit over the course of four days in Haugastøl, Norway.
Dubbed a social shred workshop, each team of riders were paired with one videographer and challenged to come up with their best. Team #1 consisted of LF distributor Nicolai Rodin on camera, LF rider Marianna Voznessenskaja, LF Rider Jan Scheignitz and Andreas Toverud.
