LF Kites team rider Manuela Jungo reports from the scene in Leucate, France, stop #2 on the PKRA world tour. Continue to watch for updates as we follow her and Christophe Tack on their pursuit of the World title.
“The Event in Leucate, France was very nice. It was a little bit colder than in Morocco but we were lucky with the weather. We didn’t have too much rain and it was mostly dry and sunny.
The conditions were very hard, the wind was so strong and gusty that it wasn’t easy to compete. That’s why I am very happy that I was able to continue my solid riding.
I had my first heat in the Singles against Bruna which I lost but I used my second chance in the doubles against French Girls, Celine Rodenas and Clementine Bonzom and made it into the top 5.
Christophe Tack had a very unlucky session. The wind was going up and down during the Doubles and Christophe was unfortunate and crashed his kite and his 5th line got tangled around his kite.
It was also a very nice surprise that I got awarded the “Rookie of Mondial Du Vent”.
I am going to Cabarete next to train for around 3 Weeks before I go the the third Event in Holland which starts on the 15th of May. Wish me luck!”
