Saturday, May 5th, LF kites team rider, Christophe Tack attended the Ostend Kite Battle,  a small, fun waveriding event close to Ostend. A total of  16 competitors attended.
“The conditions weren’t the best; small waves, no long rides so I wasn’t sure if it made sense to compete…
 My crew convinced me to compete and it was 1000% worth it! Had some fun airs, some good turns and I ended up 1st!!
I’ve always wanted to show everyone that I’m more than just freestyle. Pretty happy I did!”- Christophe

Reporting from Argentina, Oliver Umpierre describes his weekend competing at the WACHAU event.

“The last weekend of April, 28, 29 and 30 I decided to travel to Mendoza, Argentina with Riders from Liquid Force and Second Wind Argentina. I never imagined what would greet me there…

It was a great trip! The event took place in a dam between the mountains and the Andes, the water was crystal clear and luckily the wind was 15 to 20 knots so we kited 3 days in a row. The spot was amazing.

There were people from all over Argentina and Chile competing so there were a total of 45 Riders. The first and second days of the competition revolved around the  amateur and intermediate categories, accompanied by the the demos of Liquid Force. Finally, on the last day we ran the Pro category, where I placed 1st!! The event was a great show calling the attention of all locals and the media.”
